Bogota Police Detective Victor Negron said his department identified the body as Sylvia Lubak on Monday. Negron could not release more information due to an ongoing investigation.

A missing persons report was filed in December 2017, which says she was last seen by her boyfriend, police said.

"She was wearing blue or black snow pants and a black jacket with fur on the hood. Ms. Lubak also has several tattoos all over her body, one being a skeletal hand holding a rose on her right forearm," the report says.

According to an obituary, Lubak formerly lived in East Rutherford and Wallington, and was born in Poland.

She came to the United States in 2000 when she was 8. She graduated from Becton High School in 2010 and went on to attend NYU.

She enjoyed painting in her free time.
